In the fall of 1999, I moved to Sevier County to work as a police officer with the City of Gatlinburg, proudly serving in that role for five years. Along the way, I had the opportunity to co-direct a kids police camp and substitute teach. It was through those experiences, I discovered my passion for teaching and mentoring kids. After graduating from Lincoln Memorial University with my bachelors degree in 2006, I began teaching 4th grade at Seymour Intermediate School. I continued my education at Lincoln Memorial University, earning a Masters (2008) and Educational Specialist degree (2009) in administration and supervision. During my tenure I’ve taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. I've served as a blended learning coach for the district, and as an administrator. I’m excited about my role at Seymour Intermediate and look forward to working with our teachers, kids, parents, and community.
