Peggy Oakes and Heather Daniel know just what it takes to be great leaders for Seymour Intermediate school. Through years of service to the Sevier County school system and the Seymour community, they have earned the experience and knowledge needed to provide a stellar learning environment for your children. 

 Mrs. Oakes and Mrs. Daniel both share a common goal to enable all students to achieve academic excellence using literacy and research-based instruction to encourage lifelong learners that are ready, responsible, and respectful citizens. 

  Peggy Oakes began her journey in education by obtaining her         Bachelors of Science degree at the University of West Florida. She later went on to attain a Teaching Endorsement from Maryville College, along with an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction with Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. 

 Her history as an educator includes teaching fourth grade for 11 years before moving into an administrative position first as an Assistant Principal then as Principal of Seymour Intermediate School. 

 Among her many achievements, Peggy Oakes is still remembered for being an outstanding reading teacher.
